Dr. Martha Koo, M.D., FAPA, FASAM

Dr. Martha B. Koo, M.D. completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University, her medical training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and her psychiatry residency training at the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Institute. She is double Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Koo has always been fascinated by the power of the mind and passionate about understanding human nature. She completed psychoanalytic training at the New Center for Psychoanalysis in 2001 and, more recently, completed certification in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Research at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is an adherence rater for MAPS psychedelic research. Having a special interest in the use of psilocybin for end-of-life distress, she is currently completing certification as a death doula. In life, Dr. Koo feels the most harmonious when she is dancing, playing in nature or cuddling a pet.
